Meet by the Hope School.Park either on the Edale Road or on the estate road alongside the school (GR 172836).
We will head straight up Lose Hill and continue along the ridge to the summit of Mam Tor from where a steep descent with spectacular views of Mam Tor’s south face leads to the Blue John Mine entrance.From there we take a steady descent to Castleton and over the fields to Hope.
Tea at the Woodbine?!
7.5 miles approx.
