12 people (6 Rudyard visitors and . 6 cyclists) met up at Charles Knowles Lane to toast our Charles’ birthday.
The cyclists had had a quick introduction to the western hinterland of the Peak District: reservoirs, hills and ridges with views. After some bubbly at his sign there was more chocolate cake, scones, raspberry jam, other cake and crumpets (is this a mountaineering club?) back at home.
Thank you Charles for providing the excuse and for bringing the fabulous Thornton’s chocolate cake cake.
