Galloway sea cliffs – guide
The sections of the SMC Lowland Outcrops guide are on line at:
https://routes.smc.org.uk/crag/6158
Unfortunately these don’t seem to be updated from 2004. Martin Whittacker and Dave Pendlebury put up routes since then – but I can’t find an update of the guidebook.
Aswell as the John Biggar’s online guide to Crammog Head there is also a guide to Laggantalluch:
http://www.johnbiggar.com/galloway-climbing-index/laggantalluch-stranraer-rock-climbing.asp
I’ve also found a meet report of the Lomond club on Meikle Ross:
Galloway sea-cliff climbing meet, July 17-19
Needle sports has an overview of the inland climbing:
https://www.needlesports.com/Information/Features/Galloway-Climbing
From this I think the crags to look at in three days are Meikle Ross, Crammag Head and Portabello. I’ll be looking at Crammog Head if I get up there early enough on the Friday.
If anybody can get more up to date information post it on the whatsapp. I’ll take an ab rope.
