A good turn out of 14 members including new members Lorna and Simon, on a dull and damp day. It was good to see Frank who unfortunately could not join us on the walk. The route from Curbar Gap car park took in Curbar and Froggatt Edges with a coffee stop taken on the last rocks before dropping down to the road and continuing past The Grouse Inn and onto White Edge. Lunch was taken at a sheltered spot just before the the trig point where the weather started to turn. The original route to Wellington’s Monument and Baslow Edge was abandoned because of the worsening conditions, mutiny and good common sense prevailed and we returned to the cars.

Despite the weather it was still an enjoyable and social day covering about 6 miles according to my British Standard string. Thanks to all you stalwarts for attending.
    Cheers John P
