The working group looking at the future of the clubroom have now produced their report which is attached to this email.
The committee intend to issue voting papers shortly with the requirement that they should be returned by the end of September. In the intervening period there will be opportunities for members to talk to members of the working group about their report should people wish to clarify their ideas. The proposal is one Zoom meeting on Monday 19th Sept and one club room based meeting, on Thursday 22nd September (details to be circulated later).
The committee are proposing that a response be required from 40% of the membership in order for the vote to be considered valid. There will be an option to abstain for those who wish to take part but who have no firm view, we urge you to actively return the voting paper in order to count as part of the 40%. Of the Yes /No responses a simple majority of 51% plus, either way would then be accepted.
It is further proposed that Lin Warriss, the Vice President, act as Returning Officer with a non committee member acting as adjudicator. These people would be the only ones with access to the voting papers and would agree to keep all responses confidential.
