For walk this Thursday meet at the building in the main car park at Longshaw Estate Grid Reference 265802. Free parking for National Trust members, otherwise free roadside parking near Fox House pub, and walk over to meeting place.
We will take an approximately 7 mile walk exploring parts of the estate. Cafe available near the car park if required.

Report of Thursday walk March 10th
13 members enjoyed a breezy walk of 7.3 miles from Longshaw car park via Winyards Nick, Over Owler Tor, Lawrence Field and back, a few unfamiliar sections of path included. After lunch overlooking Burbage Brook there was a stiff pull up to White Edge Lodge before some opted for drinks in the cafe. Good sightings of 3 red deer stags and a red kite added to the fun.
