8 intrepid members turned up at Mytham Bridge as it started to drizzle. A pleasant walk to the stepping stones where Rick managed to cross without falling in (the rest of us wimped out). We managed to get as far as Offerton Hall before overtrousers became essential. John Rogerson entertained us all with a demonstration of how not to put on overtrousers (perhaps he has help getting dressed every morning!!). The walk over Offerton Moor and Abney Moor was miserable in driving rain but luckily it had stopped when we had a quick lunch break at the top of Brough Lane. The views of Win Hill, Lose Hill and the cement works were fabulous on the way down through Shatton.
