From 29th March [unless the pandemic situation and therefore the suggested dates for the easing of this current lockdown changes dramatically] we will be allowed to walk outside in groups of 6 once more. I am therefore offering this 6 mile walk on Thursday 1st April. Meet at the usual time of 11am at the layby GR 288779. on the B6054, the road from Owler Bar towards the Fox House. Shortly after leaving Owler Bar, this is the first layby on the left [after the bends] you will see, with a small building behind a wall on the opposite side of the road. If needed, there are two additional laybys soon after this. on either side of the road. The walk will proceed over Big Moor and will include stone circles, a drained reservoir [sadly no more swimming!] and a somewhat muddy valley [this walk has actually been recce’d!].
