    Maybe not the obvious place to try, but Towsure in Hillsborough seemed to have quite a few in today. Not really qualified to know how good they are, but perhaps worth a look.

    Hi Geoff
    Decathlon do several very well-reviewed, reasonably priced road bikes (e.g Triban RC500 priced at £500). New stock gets realised on their website at 11pm each day (yes that’s PM!) and you can order Click and Collect from their Sheffield store. I’ve just ordered one this way – though it’s going to be at least a week before it’s ready to collect.

    Geoff – I have a 2015 Pinnacle Dolomite 4 road bike I want to sell. Medium frame, carbon fork, weighs about 8kg, good condition. I did the Prudential Ride London/Surrey 100 on it in 2016 and 2017. Let me know if you are interested
