Two members and no dogs set off from the recreation area above Castell de Castells to walk to the Castell. A steady climb up tracks brought us to a col where we met the German e-cyclist who had sailed past us lower down the road. After taking two photos for him (the second because he had forgotten to rebelt his trousers and was worried what his wife would say) we headed on up. At a second col we took the path up to the castle ruins, perched high on an eyrie with 360 degree views. Lunch was taken in the sun, as were many photographs. On descent the senior member had a senior moment about where he had left his sticks on the scramble up. Luckily the younger, more agile member bounced back up and found them. Returning down we took a path which shortened the walk but provided excellent views. Back at the car the senior member felt like a Castle ruin after the descent, but both enjoyed the 8km or so walk. Nice not to be in the cold and damp, maybe more members for winter sun next year?
