Meet at the top of Padley Gorge on the Grindleford road from Fox House where the ice-cream van parks (GR: 258 799) for the usual prompt 11:00am start. We’ll walk over to Millstone Edge and down to Hathersage before following the river to Grindleford and returning through Nether Padley and Padley Gorge, about 7.5 miles. Hopefully we should get some good autumn colours.
