Start at 11am from King’s Tree GR 167938 which is at the end of the reservoir road above Fairholmes (car access ok midweek). There is a fair amount of parking space but in case it’s busy and for eco reasons, I suggest meeting at the last free parking before Fairholmes and sharing cars from there, leaving latest 10.45am.
The walk goes up bracken-filled Linch clough then easier going over moorland before broad tracks to finish. Crossing a small river is currently via easy stepping stones and will only be potential for excitement if we have heavy downpours beforehand.
Approx just under 7 miles.
