A sunny spring day & the CMC walkers largely filled the car park by Rivelin dams.True to our “Castle Ruins” form,2 members arrived with anatomic problems. One with an,as yet, unknown knee condition and the other with a heel problem, but the remaining 11 in satisfactory condition.
12 of us took the “High Road”along the top of the woods and over to the Head Stone, while John M decided to take the Low Road along Wyming Drive and await the high road party as it returned from the Head Stone. He had a fairly lengthy wait as the rest of us lingered over morning coffee and admired the view at the Head Stone.Re-united with John we crossed the A57 and climbed the hillside above Swinglee farm.Lunch was taken on a field with a view before we reached Flash.
After Flash we turned downhill past Bingley Seat and the concessionary path through the nature reserve below Rivelin Edge and so back to the cars, lingering in the spring sunshine while we chatted and took our time de-booting.
