I have been passed the following from Roger Skews:

“On the way home [from the 50th Anniversary Weekend]
I called in to see Mary Peace in a nursing home in
Darley Dale. She can still hold a reasonable conversation
with you, so please encourage anyone who knows her to
visit if they are out in the Peak. Most of the residents
seem severely challenged to converse, so It must be a
lonely place to spend your last days.”
