Al Cash is running a two day Outdoor First Aid Course on May 16/17 at Hathersage Scout Hut. This is a professional standard, fully accredited first aid qualification for outdoor leaders and recreational users. The cost to members of the public will be £120 per person , but he is offering the course to 4 club members at the cost price of £12.50 per member plus the cost of the venue, which is £100. There would be a maximum of 12 people on the course. Feedback he has received from his first aid training as a freelancer so far has been excellent, so club members would expect to receive top quality and enjoyable training. This course would help the club and also promote and launch his outdoor first aid training courses, with a possible similar offer to other club members later in the year.
The club is currently applying to the BMC for funding for this – [they offer grants for clubs to employ professional instructors to provide training to members]
