12 of us set off from the King’s Tree (80th anniversary of planting coming up on 25-9-25) for a 7 and a bit mile loop up the valley to Lower Small Clough, then the shooting cabins and return via the path on the NE edge of Linch Clough. Showers were forecast but we were lucky and escaped them all, with cool but pleasant walking weather. Some heather still in flower and good conditions underfoot (unusual for this area). made for a nice day in this lovely place. Thanks to all who came along.
