ParticipantMust admit we didn’t check the Meets List but should work really well! An hour’s abseiling then sit and pick books about routes which need abseils.
We’re still going to pub for tea first though, hope not to get into abseiling off situations again, been there, done that.
Cheers

ParticipantI’ve booked in on a non electric tent pitch for myself as Vanda is away walking the SW Coadt Path so we will be about as far apart as possible in England! Will need a climbing partner to lead me I easy routes or flat cycling. The golf clubs might also be in the car in case they’re needed, there are some excellent courses around there I used to go to in the 70s/80’s!!

ParticipantAlmost everybody has now paid, if you are one of the few who haven’t, please do so ASAP.
Also still 2 places available to cover the cancellations, if anybody wants a place. Please get in touch.

ParticipantI’ve had a couple of cancellations for this so have a couple of camping places available. Hopefully there are some late additions, otherwise the unfortunates will have to pay.
Let me know ASAP if either you or somebody you know would like to come.
Cheers

ParticipantHello all,
Be great if people could support Kial as he’s stepped in to lead this meet. Unfortunately we’re not around next week (on a narrow boat in Warwickshire). We do intend to be at Castle Naze the following week.
I’m sure some of you are desperate for a day out on the (easy) Rock.
Thanks Kial.
Cheers

ParticipantI’d like to come please John. If necessary I could be a second leader.
Thanks,

ParticipantThere’s a great chapter in Bill Bryson’s book “At Home” about the evolution of “The Hall” covering 1600 years or so, including a section about Hardwick Hall and Chatsworth House, as well as “Grubenhous” and their development which gave rise to the word “Hall”, one of the first truly English words after 410.

ParticipantUPDATE.
I already have over a dozen names for this meet.
Therefore I will try to book tomorrow afternoon. If you want to be included please let me know before NOON tomorrow.
After that, you would have to book directly, space permitting.
Cheers
