Meet at Hope Primary School (Edale Road) at 9.00am.
Probable route is up to Win Hill, down to Hope Cross, up onto Kinder via Crookstone Barn, along to Ringing Roger, down to Edale village, up to Hollins Cross and back to Hope via Lose Hill. About 12ish miles (rough string measurement).
I have booked sunshine from 10.30 (after a grey start) and a light breeze all day.
Cafe or pub (my preference) at end of the walk.
Please just turn up – no need to contact me. I will put message on WhatsApp Walk group nearer the day.A good day out – it didn’t rain and it wasn’t too hot. The guys with high tech gizmo’s reckon it was a 12 mile walk so my late 20th century pre walk measurement was pretty good. Benji the cocker spaniel probably ran and walked 25-30 miles and his terrier buddy Otto must have done15-20 miles on his stubby, wee legs. I certainly felt I had earned my post walk pint in the Cheshire Cheese.
