Meet at 10am in the car-park in the centre of Alstonefield [GR 131556] for this approx 8 mile walk. We will set off in an anti-clockwise direction from Alstonefield, passing Hope Marsh, crossing Ashbourne Road, to then head south towards Castern Hall, where we will loop northwards, passing Damgate to reach the top of Hall Dale which we will descend, to join Dove Dale. Here we head upriver to Milldale, with a steep ascent before the footpath takes us across fields back to Alstonefield.
