Meet at 11 o’clock on the old bridge at Ashford-in-the-Water, grid reference 195696. There is plenty of free parking around the village.
The route follows the well trodden path along the river, through Sheldon woods and up Deep Dale.
After a short way along the road we cross a field to the pucturesque Magpie Mine. Skirting Sheldon village we drop back down into Ashford-in-the-Water.
Between 6 and 7 miles by string!
