As advertised, this was a shorter walk than usual, due to an important lunch engagement. 22 of us set off from the car park next to the Robin Hood pub near Baslow and walked up to Gardom’s Edge and through the plantation of silver birch trees (see pics), looping back to Birchen’s Edge. Some took a slightly shorter route, and some took the higher route along Birchen’s Edge, whilst the main party walked down through the trees under the edge, snatching a 5 minute standing coffee stop. All made it back in good time to celebrate Pat’s birthday in style. Thanks for your company, Nick and Bron
