Meet 11am car park next to the Robin Hood Pub,A619, near Baslow.
Will walk south to Dobbs Edge, Emperor lake, towards Beeley Hilltop, then across to Hob Hurst house Tumulus, then back north on the edge of Gibbet Moor to the pub. About 7 miles. Weather booked!
The best weather of the week brought us all out to enjoy a classic circuit from Robin Hood pub.
Added on the Hunting Tower, sat by Emperor lake, found the stone circle, another extra, then the Bronze age burial mound and lots of frog spawn on the trail. Some new paths for some, too. Far reaching views in all directions. Good paths except for the last little bit of bogsville!
A bit more than the 7 miles advertised, but we all savoured being out in the warmth with happy company.
