At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 20th November, Geoff Nichols will come to the end of his 3-year term as President. The Committee wants to involve the whole club in identifying someone to take on this key role. If you have a suggestion of fellow members that you think would be suitable (you do not need to approach them beforehand) or if you would like to put yourself forward, please email their name(s) to the Secretary, Bron Robinson (bronhr@gmail.com), by Friday 19th September. The committee will then approach these to discuss further.
The Castle Mountaineering Club is run by its members for its members. Our membership has been steadily increasing (currently 135) and we would very much welcome involvement from newer members in order to help ensure that the club continues to meet everyone’s interests. You can become involved by running or helping at meets or events, or even by joining the committee. If you would be interested in getting involved in any way, or want more information, please email Bron or, if you prefer, speak to any of the current committee (listed on the club website at: https://castlemountaineering.com/about-us/)
The retiring Committee will propose candidates (including any new volunteers and existing committee members willing to continue) for the offices of the new committee and notify these to the membership in the usual way, at least 2 weeks prior to the AGM.
