A round-about-7 mile circuit of the Upper Derwent moors. Park near Kings Tree (SK 168 938) – may be busy if it is sunny – and congregate at the end of the road. We will walk up the Derwent valley to Lower Small Clough then head up to the shooting cabins. Return along Black Dike then down. Hopefully the heather will be in full bloom.
