Thursday walk 30th July

Meet outside the “Red Lion” Litton G.R.163752.
The walk will cross the fields to the edge of Cressbrook Dale and continue to Litton Mill followed by the the high level traverse above Miller’s Dale. Cressbrook Dale is then entered from the south. At the Ravensdale Cottages a steep ascent is made to Ravens Crag and onto the top of the crags ( anyone preferring can omit this climb and continue up Cressbrook Dale)).From the top of the crags the concessionary path gives access to Wardlow Hay Cop before a steady descent back to Cressbrook Dale and reunion with anyone preferring to avoid the excursion .All that then remains is to turn up Tansley Dale and return to Litton.
