Next Sunday’s climbing is at Harborough Rocks, an excellent early season venue with an abundance of lower grade routes, but interspersed with a decent number of HVS 5a’s and b’s.
If you’re new to leading or outdoor climbing in general, this is the crag for you. If you’re slightly more mature, experienced or just old, it’s a very pleasant day out.
My guidebook shows 46 routes. A total ascent in a day is possible, especially if you like soloing!!!
Approach along the minor road between Wirksworth and Brassington. Parking space just east of prominent factory, from where the crag can be seen. Follow the obvious track. Approach pics on Climbers What’s App.
Paul and I will be there around 10am as it’s a bit further than Stanage.
Hope as many as possible can join us.
