Weather at last looking dry if blustery for Saturday.
An alternative spire cycle on offer. Meet for departure as near to 9.30 as possible, Eyam car park opposite museum. Public WCs nearby.
Distance 20 miles or 32.2km and 527m ascent.
Route Eyam – Foolow – Monsal Trail to Millers Dale – Wormhill-Tideswell- Great Hucklow -Bretton- return.
I do not profess to be part of the cycling fraternity, so the pace will be comfortably steady. I need caffeine to make my cogs turn so there will be stops. As a trig ticker there may also be 2 brief stops to bag Wormhill and William Hill. (Both near the road).
Refreshment options possibly at Millers Dale, definitely at Tideswell. Here there is the “Cathedral of the Peak” and I am waiting to here about a possible
tower tour here at 12 noonish.
One section of uphill rough track that may need a get off and push. I may be pushing more than this section! All styles of bike suitable.
Get in touch please with me if interested.
