The clocks have changed and mid-week climbing meets are almost upon us again.
This year all will be on a Tuesday night unless adverse conditions prevail, when the meet can hopefully be moved to the Wednesday, or possibly even the Thursday night.
The Messageboard will remain the principal means of communication but we are also trialing group text messaging to let people know of last minute changes of venue or day. The wind may be howling on Stanage or the midges awful on Burbage indicating a venue change or a mid-afternoon thunderstorm may mean another evening.
Volunteers have offered to co-ordinate different months, with me being the coordinator for April. The three Tuesday meets are:
10 April Lawrencefield – Gingerbread Slab area (SK 249797)
17 April Froggatt – Sunset Slab area (SK 249767)
24 April Stanage – Flying Buttress/ Christmas Crack area (SK 245834)Some climbers will be around from early/mid-afternoon and will be in the pub afterwards!
