Walk report for 14th November.
In spite of the change of venue and very dubious weather forecast, 14 (intrepid/mad, delete as appropriate) people and 0 dogs turned up at Cutthroat Bridge. Over trousers, gaiters and water proof jackets were obligatory from the start. The rain and wind accompanied us across the main road and up onto the moor. At the top it was decided to forego a coffee stop in favour of an early lunch, preferably with some shelter from the elements. As we dropped off the ridge Dave suggested we had lunch in the stone hut owned by the National Trust and we gathered inside among the sheep droppings, grateful for dry sandwiches.
The last part of the walk was the track along Ladybower. This was relatively sheltered although the white horses on the reservoir showed the wind was still blowing strongly.
6.7 miles. Many thanks to all those mildly deranged Castle members who showed up.
