I’ve had 3 people volunteer so far, more needed. Anybody else before tomorrow’s meeting?
    Cheers

I’ve booked in on a non electric tent pitch for myself as Vanda is away walking the SW Coadt Path so we will be about as far apart as possible in England! Will need a climbing partner to lead me I easy routes or flat cycling. The golf clubs might also be in the car in case they’re needed, there are some excellent courses around there I used to go to in the 70s/80’s!!

Almost everybody has now paid, if you are one of the few who haven’t, please do so ASAP.
Also still 2 places available to cover the cancellations, if anybody wants a place. Please get in touch.
    Cheers

I’ve had a couple of cancellations for this so have a couple of camping places available. Hopefully there are some late additions, otherwise the unfortunates will have to pay.
Let me know ASAP if either you or somebody you know would like to come.
    Cheers
    Paul

    Hello all,
Be great if people could support Kial as he’s stepped in to lead this meet. Unfortunately we’re not around next week (on a narrow boat in Warwickshire). We do intend to be at Castle Naze the following week.
I’m sure some of you are desperate for a day out on the (easy) Rock.
    Thanks Kial.
    Cheers
    Paul and Vanda.

There’s a great chapter in Bill Bryson’s book “At Home” about the evolution of “The Hall” covering 1600 years or so, including a section about Hardwick Hall and Chatsworth House, as well as “Grubenhous” and their development which gave rise to the word “Hall”, one of the first truly English words after 410.

    UPDATE.
I already have over a dozen names for this meet.
Therefore I will try to book tomorrow afternoon. If you want to be included please let me know before NOON tomorrow.
After that, you would have to book directly, space permitting.
    Cheers
    Paul.

Charles has fixed his answer phone, so problem solved. I did find our old one which worked but couldn’t record outgoing message so its now binned.
Charles V happy with vaccination organisation and no side effects.
    Cheers
    Paul.

We did have one but can’t think where it might be. Will have a look tomorrow and take it round if we find it.
If not I’ll investigate the function on his phone.

People I’ve got listed for the walk on Sunday 6th are:
Paul, Vanda, Chris L, Jo, Ali, Hugh, Chris K, Marianne, Mike D, Steve W.

If I’ve missed anybody, please let me know.
If not, there’s still 2 places left.
If everybody turns up ready for the 10am start, I will take the first group, Vanda will follow with the second a few minutes behind. That will give some time to put their boots on!!!
    Sunshine ordered, see you there,
    Paul and Vanda.

Checked the car parking today. There’s room for about a dozen cars, but if full, plenty of room down Whitelow Lane (opposite).
Still 2 places left, will be 2 groups leaving a few minutes apart.

Quite right about car parking. Never seen so many cars parked, right on the boundary, as today. Practically parking in ditches etc.

Maybe not the obvious place to try, but Towsure in Hillsborough seemed to have quite a few in today. Not really qualified to know how good they are, but perhaps worth a look.

There have been several updates on BMC Guidamce etc from Geoff. The position remains basically the same as in June for groups of 6. Individuals have a little more freedom.
As for Zoom Thursday’s, that just requires members to volunteer to host something.
    Anybody willing?
