Because of a family illness, unfortunately Leon and Josie won’t be able to make the Coniston meet this weekend. I have volunteered to take over Saturday night catering and I am happy to supply ingredients and cook a vegan paella. Can you message me if you would be up for this option or if you would prefer to cater for yourself?
Paul EPaul EmbleyKeymasterThe dates of the course are 6th-7th April 2024.
Paul EmbleyKeymasterApologies, the following was cut off the end of my message!
We are aware that not everyone is comfortable with smartphones and electronic forms so if you need help completing the form please let a committee member know and we can provide you with help.Paul EmbleyKeymasterI’ve done an extra reccy and there is no significant snow or ice affecting the chosen route so it will go ahead as described. No technical scrambling involved and no special equipment required except weatherproof clothing, Met 9am at Birchen Clough free carpark (on the right about half a mile up the road from the Snake Inn).
January 16, 2023 at 4:32 pm in reply to: Dartmoor & South Devon Spring Bank Holiday 26th – 30th May #19608Paul EmbleyKeymasterThe owner of Oakmoor Touring Park has asked if you could book directly with her via 07810 436 261 or info@oakmoortouringpark.co.uk rather than via booking sites such as Pitchup which apparently charge the site a lot of commission!
Paul EmbleyKeymasterJust to clarify I won’t be asking for payment till March. I just need to know definite numbers at the moment. You can text me on 07849137077

Paul EmbleyKeymasterMany thanks for the offer, Charles, bit I have managed to sort out a suitable bike now.
Paul EmbleyKeymasterWeather looking good for tomorrow, so climbing at Laddow Rocks going ahead as planned. Meet 9.30am at Crowden car park – free but fills up quickly. The path up to Laddow follows the Pennine Way, but if you arrive at Kirk Yetholm you have gone too far!
Paul EmbleyKeymasterOwing to the forecast of high temperatures on Sunday, some of us are planning to be at Bamford Edge early to hopefully get some routes in whilst it is still fairly cool. I am aiming to be at Neb Buttress for 7.30am.
Paul EmbleyKeymasterI’m now planning to drive up very early Saturday morning arriving at the campsite about 9am. Weather permitting I’m really keen to climb at Wallowbarrow Crag as I’ve never climbed there before.
Paul EmbleyKeymasterLooks from UKC routes like there’s some reasonably straightforward bouldering. I’ll bring my mat.
Paul EmbleyKeymasterHi Sue
I’ve just booked for Friday and Saturday night.
Paul EPaul EmbleyKeymasterJust to clarify, the Lundy trip is scheduled for May 2023! I have booked way ahead as accommodation on Lundy is very popular and the trip covers spring half term week. I’ve started a provisional list and folk can confirm nearer the time.
