About ten days ago Bamford Clough was technically closed, though I successfully ascended it by squeezing round the barriers (fairly substantial portable fencing) at bottom and top. At the bottom there was a notice saying “Road Closed” (not that I’d actually want to take a vehicle up it!) whle at the top the notice said “Footpath Closed”. We passed at least two other parties going down it. You might like to reconnoitre the current situation before you do the walk.
