The B6049 between the A6 and Millers Dale is closed until 9 Feb (according to the Derbyshire County Council website). It will therefore be necessary to approach via Tideswell (ignoring the Road Closed sign at the Anchor). Andy

Yes we did, just before reaching Black Harry Gate. He opted to continue going the wrong way rather than joining us.

The date of the second Thursday walk (and the first one I did) was actually on 15 Nov 2012 (see the bottom of the Thursday walks page). There was fog at first and then it was sunny, mild and windless. The party of 10 comprised: Linda (leading) & David, Andy & Rosy, Martin & Pat, Marian, JB, Michelle Papworth and Tom Corker.
