Too late for evening walk with Elen and Bill, so set off solo from Burbage to Stanage!I Pole at 6.45. Such a lovely midge free evening ended up at Moscar End of Stanage with a long walk back!
8.2 miles eventually in 2h48 mins. Not bad for an old codger wearing sandals, especially after a round of golf this morning!

More miles today! Firstly thanks to Elen for car shuffling us to the start.
Today we set out on a double objective, Phase 15 of the boundary walk from Thorpe to Waterfall, which would also add miles to the challenge week.
It’s a lovely area with some great views taking us on some paths we didn’t know, and by the looks of it, nobody else goes there either, especially after Ilam the paths were almost untraceable. However all Stiles/ gates were in place (just). Not so the school in Calton, one of the turning points but luckily ladies gardening pointed us in the right direction. (Don’t guidebook writers check these things?)
The walk was advertised as 8 miles with 1000feet of ascent, it was actually 10 miles with 1305 ft, just under 5 hours, so Mary can add 20 miles to the challenge total and Andy can tick the boundary walk box.
    Paul and Vanda.
