The details are:
Start time 10.00am
Start location Warslow village. Roadside parking is available just after The Greyhound pub at GR086588. Meet by the village’s free library (which is two small cupboards with red painted doors by the side of the pavement).
Distance: 8.5-9 miles with 1575ft of ascent.
I can offer two people a lift from Sheffield.
This tremendous walk takes in three fantastic hills (Ecton, Wetton and Revidge) in the south of the Peak District which are accompanied with consistently breathtaking views and scenery.
Should you not have heard the term Ethel’s it is one that has been given to 95 hills, tors, edges and trigs in the Peak District that are over 400 metres high as well as some other iconic lower Peak District hills. The hills are named in honour of Ethel Haythornthwaite who was one of the people instrumental in founding the Peak District national park.
