A walk over to Alport Castles from Fairholmes linking the Ashop valley & the Alport valley with an ascent of the Castles from below-returning over Rowlee Pasture.
Distance 8 miles ( a little over if we detour along the top of the Castles for the best views).
Meet at the lay bye on the right about half a mile before Fairholmes (G.R.174889).
