Have decided to do a linear walk from the Fox House down through the moors ( which were glowing golden this evening) to Totley and ribbons of pleasant woodland to Beauchief Abbey, about 6.5 miles. Meet at 11am on the residential road parallel to Abbey Lane just opposite the small road that leads to the wonderful Abbey. GR 333822. We will then take the minimum number of cars up to the Fox House and park on the road there.
Please bring some food to share for the party afterwards at our house. If you are unable to make the walk but would like to join us afterwards, let me know and I can give you a guestimate of what time we will be back, or I can text you more accurately on the day. Rosy is making a 2nd anniversary cake, and I have lots of mugs and hot drinks. Please bring house shoes with you too. Thanks , Linda and David.
