This year, I plan to do some walking first, and then during lunch and after, get out the flower books and see what we can find.
So, I have a figure of eight walk. We will meet at Leadmill Bridge at 11am, on the south side of Hathersage, parking just before the bridge or next to the swimming pool and walk down. The first loop is about 6 miles, heading across to Eyam Moor, and lunch down Abney clough. After lunch we will flower spot going east then up to Highlow Hall, Dung Wood etc and back to the bridge.
A second loop is about 4 miles, can be shortened, depending on how engrossed we get, follows the river Derwent south, and takes in some lovely woodland. Bits of this walk are the same as last year’s flower walk, but it does seem to have a vast array of different plants, and the bluebells may still be around?
    cheers, Linda.
