As this walk is on Remembrance Day and will commerate 100 years exactly since the ending of the First World War, I thought it appropriate that we include an opportunity to pay our respects.
Therefore the walk will start from LANGSETT BARN CAR PARK AT 9.45.
This will give us time to reach the tiny c13th century church of St James at Midhopestones by 11am. Coffee stop included!.
Unsure what is planned at the church, been unable to get details at present but we can do our own thing if necessary.
The basic route is around 8 miles, including a visit to North America!! It would be very easy to extend the walk if we wanted, but it will be November so fine weather not guaranteed.
    Hope to see you there.
    Paul Gibson.

Could you pencil me in for this?

I’m going to be in Bolton on Saturday night and wouldn’t mind coming over for a walk before heading home. Not 100% sure that I will be able to get away early enough to meet up but will try.
