Petition to Derbyshire County Council and Natural England calling for
THE URGENT COMPLETION OF THE PENNINE BRIDLEWAY AT GLOSSOP AND CHARLESWORTH
The Pennine Bridleway from Cumbria to Derbyshire is one of the 15 National Trails. It should provide over 200 miles of safe local and long distance riding, cycling and walking. However, despite being officially opened in 2012, 5 years later 2-3%, about 6 miles, around Charlesworth and Glossop, remains unfinished with users having to take to dangerous roads. The signatories of this petition call on Derbyshire County Council and Natural England (who are responsible for the Pennine Bridleway) to take steps to finish the Pennine Bridleway as a matter of urgency. By securing funding and committing to undertake the work necessary and by engaging with partners and local users, the bridleway should be completed by 2020 at the latest.

The petition is going to DCC next week, so, if you are interested in signing this petition, don’t dilly dally just copy paste the url above into your browser and click
