Meet report for Thur 19th Nov

A record 23 of us met to walk a circuit of 6+miles (9.6km) from Fox House via Longshaw, Mother Cap, the edge of Callow Bank and Burbage Valley, taking unnecessary diversions into boggy but sheltered woodland undergrowth and traversing other felled areas, to ensure some ground previously untrodden by most of the group was covered. Crossing swollen streams and bogs with much use of slippery logs was a feature. Despite some waterlogged ground underfoot, we avoided water from above – the forecast heavy showers and gales did not materialise. Thanks to all who good-naturedly followed my route and said they found it ‘interesting’! (-which of course it was!)
