Hello
a few of us are planning to cycle this friday Penistone to the medieval bridge chapel at Wakefield using a route Leon developed.
The route goes through lovely villages and countryside and uses cycle paths in old colleries and through the Yorkshire Sculpture park.
Road bikes ok but may be not your best bike.
There is a steeep pull out of Penistone and a long haul back in but otherwise its a benign and pretty route.
Can t remember distance but between 30-40m
When I find my lap top Ill plan the route and can let you know if you are interested.
Meet at 9.30am at Shrewsbury Road Car park Penistone, S36 6DY.
Bring sandwiches but we may find cafe in Wakefield after a quick shuffty around the garden (free entry) at The Hepworth museum.
Bring lights, just in case.
