Late cancellations mean there are a couple of places available.

Cost for those on the list is £20 for two nights. Any cancellations from now will mean this fee will have to be paid.

Details below copied from instructions sent from host club. There are more which will be revealed when there.

LOCATION. The cottage is situated in the Coppermines Valley. GR 289985 (next to the YH). In Coniston turn up the lane between the Black Bull and the Co-op. Follow the lane and then the track. Take care and drive slowly. There are only 2 parking spots on the upper level so it is best to park on the larger, lower level so as to avoid conflict with our neighbour.

ARRIVAL – Please sign the visitors’ book listing those staying and read the notices, especially those regarding the fire alarm. No candles should be lit in the cottage. Due to fire regulations items such as bicycles and canoes must not be stored in the cottage. Please do not block the fire exits with furniture that has been moved.
Due to National Park Bye Laws and the fact that the area is a S.S.S.I. site, camping is not allowed on the area in front of the cottage. Fires outside are also, prohibited.
Do not leave food unprotected overnight as this can attract mice. Please clean up after every meal and ensure pans, stove and grill are cleaned

Locks on the exterior doors need the key code as follows. (513)

There are 5 buttons – assume the top is 1.

Clear the system by turning latch to the left.

Press 5 then 1 then 3. Turn the latch to the right to open the door.

If a mistake is made clear the system and try again. A torch would be useful in the dark.

    Upstairs – 3 bedrooms ( 6,6 and 4 ) Please bring your own sleeping bags.There are pillows.

Heating – Electric storage heaters are fitted. (Please leave on 3) All water is heated by a calor gas boiler. Do not fiddle with the boiler. Instructions for relighting the boiler may be found opposite the boiler. Two wood burning stoves are provided for additional heat. Wood may be bought from the garage in Coniston. Matches will be needed. Do not use coal as the extra heat damages the stoves.

Any further details, please get in touch.
