There will be a special opening of our clubroom on Thursday 10th March next week from 6pm to 9pm for those members who have not yet visited the clubroom.
    The reason ?
As part of the ongoing investigations into the pros and cons of keeping the clubroom it is proposed that a questionnaire be sent to all members to obtain their views.
So,if you have not been yet, this is your opportunity to go.
    The background
In accordance with a resolution at the AGM last November a sub group has been appointed-members J.Barnard,M.Reape,F.Johnstone,R.Twamblie,M.Biggins,G.Nichols,V.Boyd,M.Doyle- to consider in detail the arguments for and against keeping the club room with its findings being reported to the full membership to enable an informed decision to be made.
As part of this exercise it is proposed to send a questionnaire to all members for their views.
So,if you have not yet been, this is your opportunity to do so.Come along on 10th March between 6 to 9 pm when Vanda Boyd & Mike Doyle will be in attendance.
If you can’t make the 10th March the clubroom will be open again on 7th April for the club auction sale at 8pm (Paul Gibson will shortly post details).
    Directions
The clubroom is behind the “Rising Sun” pub on Abbey Lane Sheffield.S11 9ND.Go from the car park behind the pub to the gate opening onto the pub’s back yard. The club room is the building over to the right.

As part of the clubroom opening on March 10th we will be re-running the 50th anniversary picture loop giving g all newer members some illustrations of what the CMC has been up to in the past decades.
The clubroom climbing wall guidebook is available for those up to the challenge of trying some of the more 8ntricate routes, or even the easier ones. Can you do the “No hands mantleshelf”? Or the 2 points of contact jamming crack?
In addition, the club library of both guide books and literature will be available for anybody wishing to borrow anything.
Beer and food available from the pub.
    Cheers
    Vanda and Paul.
